TEARS OF GLASS” is your first published book. How long did it take you to write it and do you plan any follow ups or additional books?

I took a year to write, but a couple of years research before I got down to it.

What do you think makes a good story?

One which keeps the reader absorbed – then enlightens.

Which writers/books inspired you when writing “TEARS OF GLASS?”

Dr.Strangelove – and authors such as Michael Connelly and Le Carre.

What are your ambitions for your writing career? Full time? Part time?

Full time is always the goal.

When did you decide to become a writer?

When I had something to say.

When writing “TEARS OF GLASS” did anything stand out as particularly challenging?

Yes- The book is based on real events, the bizarre deaths of 22 UK scientists all working on the US anti-missile programme. Getting all the background was challenging, especially the CIA detail.

How did you come up with the story of “TEARS OF GLASS?”

A combination of reported events around the end of the cold war and the leaking of nuclear material out of the old Soviet Block, together with a conversation I overheard in a London Park between two Whitehall gentlemen. My music business background is used to overlay the narrative and I have included links to the original music.

What do you like to do when not writing?

Walking in the local forest and drinking Jack Daniel’s
