  • Longing for Snow - POETRY (Author Interview)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09LCSMBNQ/Longing for the Snow looks like a great poetry book. What can you tell us about it?Well, it originally were small notes in a diary. I was working on a First World War manuscript (English Soldier who survived the four years in Flanders Fields) in the Hay Library in Brown University, suffering from nausea due to Meniere’s disease and thus rather sensible to the season and of course in love with the surroundings…The poetry book is a therapeutic journey on the East Coast in the Fall. Longing for the snow is longing for peace and calm and for the virgin snow where you live in yourself and where I can escape noises which hammer in my head due to Meniere’s disease. How long did it take you to write Longing for the Snow?It actually took me a full year. It was to be published last year in autumn (the Fall) but I didn’t get ready. I was very nervous about certain things (rhymes, rhythms, cadence) and very uneasy about becoming a poet… wondering is this what I really wanted. I see myself more a short story writer…And in their original state, the scribbling in my notebook were highly personal. Poetry seems to be highly personal but that is just not true. Before a little note get the form of poetry, it needs to be worked on. It is hard to objectify your innermost feelings….I was also looking for illustrations… and this was not an easy process until James Brian Moulder offered do draw. He is student in architecture at Clemson University and first to read my poetry. What inspired you when writing Longing for the Snow? What inspired me most is the season of the fall on the American East Coast and the Ivy League university tradition. Most probably a feeling of sweet sickness typical for the fall when things move slower than in spring and summer. It is also a time when you reflect about the transience of life… On the US East Coast this is quite contradictory as nature is so beautiful while decaying and moving slowly into winter. I hope my death will be like that too…What will readers get out of your book?I hope they get a feeling of the fall and of nostalgia. In the western tradition poetry is very often associated with fall. For the French symbolists for example, autumn is the Poet’s season. I also hope they will like the langue I use. I also hope they will be inspired to have a look at Brown University’s website to see the New England style of living – apple pie, pumpkin carving, Halloween, etc.Besides this general feeling some things apart like John Harvard’s statue, Sage Chapel and even a Greyhound bus. So the reader in a sense is also informed about certain landmarks. Did anything stick out as particularly challenging when writing Longing for the Snow? What was extremely challenging was bringing the poems to live. First from scribblings in a notebook written during the coffee breaks. But, then trying to make a configuration so much so that the poems have something of a... Readmore

  • Theology for the New Millennium (Author Interview)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074RQTCSS/Theology for the New Millennium looks like a great book on God.  What can you tell us about it?I use common sense and math to prove God is real but different from what is typically expected.  I then use absolute value to illustrate how everything in life can be a positive.  Negative is a perspective and a choice. How long did it take you to write Theology for the New Millennium? From the initial breakthrough to publishing, it has been a 25 year journey.  The actual writing and editing of the book itself was a little less than a year. What inspired you when writing Theology for the New Millennium?I was inspired to write Theology for the New Millennium because I sincerely hate repeating myself.  I do love to quote myself though, so I wrote something I could always reference.  Theology is such a tricky subject to discuss, writing a book also eliminates the interruptions and tangents that could occur in a debate or discourse.  What will readers get out of your book?Anyone who reads Theology for the New Millennium with an open mind will leave with an understanding of God that can be constantly questioned but never refuted.  The fact that the basis is something we all learned in math as children keeps my personal opinion or feelings from tainting the message.  It also takes the conversation away from faith and imagination. What motivated you to become a writer?I’m still not convinced I am a writer in the truest sense.  I’m a philosopher.  Any medium I can use to get my message to others is fair game.  I also write poetry and I have a rap EP out called, Musical Revelation – The EP. How did you come up with the ideas in Theology for the New Millennium?I imagined I had an audience that had no idea of what I was going to say. I thought of what I would say.  My girlfriend at the time was my muse.Did anything stick out as particularly challenging when writing Theology for the New Millennium? The hardest thing about writing Theology for the New Millennium was making sure I didn’t write anything that couldn’t be backed by logic, math, or science. Can you tell us a little about your background?I’m originally from Washington, DC.  I moved to LA just before the pandemic.  In my youth, I was convicted for crimes I did commit.  While incarcerated, I had time to contemplate life and the many facets of it, including morality.  I embarked on a journey of discovery with the belief that the concept of God should make sense in order to deserve acceptance.  It made no sense to me to laud our intellect over the other animals if it were useless when it comes to God.  To my surprise, I remembered a math lesson that sounds like blasphemy on the surface but fills in every gap faith leaves without any ... • Embracing God In The Right Perspective (Author Interview)

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08M3Q2Y2N/Embracing God In The Right Perspective looks like a fantastic analytical exploration in theology.  What can you tell us about it?Christ came from heaven to earth to reveal the truthful identity, original divine nature and ultimate predetermined destiny of Man. Christ is a son of God, so is Man. The spirit of Man is born of God. Christ was born out of the womb of virgin Mary. It was the works of the Spirit, not the works of the flesh. Circumcision meant crucifixion of the sinful nature of the flesh on the Cross under the perfect Law of God. Abraham was called the father of righteousness because he walked by faith, and not by sight of the flesh in the physical realm. Faith is a present form of future prophetic events. Isaac was born out of a dead womb. There was no distinction between Isaac and Ishmael. Both were sons of God in the spiritual realm. God did not separate them, only men did. Repentance comes when there is self-awareness and one realizes his or her own truthful identity as a child of God. The Word of God created the world and everything that is inside it including Man. The Word of God is embedded in the heart of every man as each man is given a measure of faith. When faith is activated in the Word of God, one is born again as a righteous child of God and he or she inherits His kingdom. That is the Mark of Righteousness.Christ came to earth as son of Man. His physical mortal corrupted body was crucified on the Cross. And He was resurrected in His heavenly immortal glorious body as son of God. First came the flesh, then came the spirit. First came the Law through Moses, then came Christ. The Law put the flesh to death and Man is born again in resurrection as heavenly child of God. Didn’t the scriptures say, “The first shall be the last and the last shall be the first”. The Word of God shall heal and resurrect every man to be born again in resurrection. Isn’t this the same faith affirmed by the saints throughout the Gospel which sheds light on immortality and righteousness in His kingdom? Man has been baptized by faith through grace of God unto the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ. Didn’t the scriptures say, “By the stripes of the Lord, we have been healed”. Salvation is a graceful gift of God. All men shall be born to live again in Christ and through Christ. All glory, honor and praise be unto our Heavenly Father God. Amen! How long did it take you to write Embracing God?It took me approximately slightly more one year. What inspired you when writing Embracing God?I came into this world with empty hands. There is nothing I can bring along with me when I leave this world except the Word of God. Therefore, I desire to leave this glorious truth and grace of God, as manifested and revealed through His Word with you (the world). What will readers get out of your book? The truthful identity, the original divine nature and the ultimate predetermined destiny of Man. God did ... Readmore
