Modern Meditations looks like a great philosophy guide.  Can you tell us a little about it?

This meditation guide really is to help people who are struggling.  Struggling in life and all the things that can seem to run you over and create emotional pain and confusion.  There is wisdom here from some of the greatest philosophers and holy leaders for 1000s of years.

Any plans to turn it into a series?

Currently there are no plan for a series but other books on philosophy and modern religions are currently in the works.

How long did it take you to write Modern Meditations?

This was a personal journal; hand written over about six months; then wanting to have a bound version I put it into an eBook format.  Overall, I would say the whole process was a year in the making.

What inspired the idea for your book?

The idea was to have a book that I could carry in my pocket and reference age old wisdom any time I had a moment in the day to meditate and reflect on what life was throwing at me. If you are waiting to pick up your kids at school, at a medical appointment, or really any other time where you have a few minutes; you can find wisdom and will apply to your life today.

What will readers get out of your book?

If used as a guide to reflect and mediate on the wisdom passed down, readers will find they are more centered, more able and willing to meet the day and the things that fate will bring us.  Overall, my goal is that you become an island of calm in a sea of craziness.

What part of the book was the most fun to write?

Native American Philosophy is some of my favorite and reading the stories was a great part of writing this little book.

How did you come up with the ideas in Modern Meditations?

I only convey the already proven wisdom from the masters in hopes others find their words inspiring and life changing.

Can you tell us a little about your background?

I served 23 years in the military and I am a student of Stoicism.  I hope to live a small but valuable and impactful life.

Where can readers find out more about your work?

Amazon.  I have another book on there and I will be using that platform to list all of my work.
