What motivated you to write the book?
As a single who had lived in a city with many options, it seemed like the road to marriage was nights filled with many dates and even several committed relationships. Still, no matter what dating advice I applied to find my spouse, it seemed to crumble until I realized that Jesus Christ was the only person that could give me that breakthrough. And I needed to work with him deeper than what was offered as Sunday church service.
As the author of this book, I share my own personal story as testimonies to provide impartation (meaning what is written, God can do it again in your life). The testimonies are combined with Scriptures, prayers, and application tools to partner with God's Word.
What type of reader did you write the book for?
Unmarried and single Christians who have been disappointed, hurt, lonely, or simply ready for the next step in their lives looking to find the breakthrough in finding their godly spouse.
How long did it take you to write Your Breakthrough: Single and Married?
I started writing immediately after my breakthrough because I knew that God did it and the strategies, He gave me needed to be documented and shared with others so that they can receive their breakthrough too and ultimately know how good God is beyond the everyday devotional or weekly church service. It’s been refined over the years through different hands, ministers, and doctoral scholars.
How did you come up with the title for the book?
The title is focused much like the material and information found inside the book.
What do you like to do when not writing?
When I am not writing, I enjoy spending time with my children, listening to the life stories of others, and coaching or pastoral counseling men and women so that they can receive their breakthroughs and blessings in life because of our God, who is able and willing.
