Paradox or Perception looks like a great book. What can you tell us about it?

It’s a completely open account of a boys life growing up fast into manhood, but it’s brutally honest, which means some parts are hard to swallow.

Can you tell us a little about why you wrote the book?

It was really for my mental health, I was drowning in guilt and had to make a decision. That decision was writing, and it worked.

What section did you have the most fun writing?

Some sections are tougher for me as I had to live through events again, but I reading back, I realised that I was so naive, getting in trouble in Hong Kong was funny for me.

What inspired the idea for the book?

The inspiration was the turning point after chapter four, when I felt a weight had come off my shoulders and realised this could be of great help for others.

How did you come up with the title for the book?

When I read my story back, it seems so unbelievable that it’s like a paradox, and the perception of how I thought of life,is somewhat different to others. I was raised very different, and away from a so called normal life. So there it was, Paradox or Perception.

Did anything stick out as particularly challenging when writing Paradox or Perception?

Two points stood out, my acceptance of coming to terms and admitting tough truths about myself and writing it . When I started to put pen to paper, I hated writing. However since theses two books a have written three more. One fiction book and one adult romance with the third that will be finished in the next few months. It’s been a revelation.

What do you like to do when not writing?

I was a superhuman fitness freak, I racked up six Marathons, four IronMan events and so much more before my accident, but my life has changed somewhat and I now love writing and reading. I’m also learning the piano, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do and it’s now my chance.

Where can readers find out more about your work?

My books are only sold on Amazon presently but I’m determined to get my other books out there soon in the future. I have the first part of the book of two out on Audiobooks if that’s more your thing.
