The Marvellous Adventures of Flashrat is a Choose Your Own Downfall book—or , if you prefer, a Decide Your Own Death.
In this deeply questionable tale, you play as Scott Macarthur, council toilet cleaner (freelance). A man of simple pleasures and even simpler hygiene habits, Scott resides in an abandoned shopping trolley in his local park after being booted out by his wife—who, as it turns out, has been up to all sorts of shenanigans with Scott’s best friend. But hope is not lost! There’s a chance—a tiny, whisky-stained chance—that Scott might just be a superhero in the making. He’s got a costume (sort of), a purpose (ish), and a mentor: the mysterious, possibly imaginary vigilante known only as Flashrat. Is Flashrat a genuine English-speaking crimefighter? Or is Scott just incredibly dehydrated and off his rocker from drinking something blue he found behind the Co-op? Will you guide Scott toward redemption, heroism, and maybe even a home with an actual roof? Will Scott get his revenge on his wife, or will you lead him to a gooey, romantic, mills-and-boony reunion? …or will your decisions lead him to an inevitable, blood-soaked end involving evil mad scientists, the Yakuza, an evil genius living inside a volcano, a wolf-man (of sorts), a mysterious cobbler, the Brotherhood of the Bogbrush, secret microfilms, and, of course, the KGB? Be warned: ADULTS ONLY! Contains humour as black as your ex’s heart.Empowered (Author Interview)
https://andreacampbell.co.uk Empowered looks like a great book on wisdom and inspirational quotes. Any plans to release similar books or make it part of a series? Thank you. Empowered is the first book in a series. I would really like to make it into a series of inspirational books but that depends on my inspiration over the next few months and beyond. The book contains 120 quotes and I already written 60 more since then so it looks positive for next year. How did you come up with the ideas and quotes in Empowered? The quotes originated from my interactions with people, my observations of the world and personal experiences. I feel that they came "through" me and not "from" me, that I am simply a medium through which these messages are relayed. In the last few years I have felt compelled to write inspirational blogs and quotes. I did not plan to write a book but the quotes became so many, and I received such good feedback that I decided to compile them into a book. "Empowered" stimulates creative thinking and encourages energetic debate. It presents life truths in thought-provoking ways and enables readers to use the quotes as a starting point for self-exploration and introspection and soul-searching. The book is a platform that revitalises the mind and presents an alternative means of making sense of the world. The nomenclature: Empowered denotes a sense of courage, self-belief, energy, resolve, in my view. I want those who choose this book to feel all of those sentiments and to enjoy and share the quotes with others. What will readers get out of your book? Modern life throws up a range of challenges to people. The ability to appreciate and use the power of words to explore issues and find solutions is beneficial to all. The book presents a creative way to examine issues and boosts understanding in a fun and novel way. This is not a book to read and put away; it is meant to be shared one quote at a time and will help readers make sense of the many challenges and situations we experience in our daily lives. In the book I demonstrated, using a few quotes, how they may be applied, but for the most part the quotes are presented without explanations as to what they could mean because I did not want to influence the thought processes readers. I anticipate that those who embark on this journey will enjoy it, gain insight, apply the quotes to life, and gain wisdom for their decision-making and life choices. Readers will find that Empowered is different from other books in its genre. It can be used by individuals as well as groups - from the boardroom to the classroom; the family room to the place of worship. The inspirational utterings can be used as a starting point for discussion, exploration, critical thinking, creative thinking, problem solving, analysis and ultimately self actualisation. It is relatable t... Readmore

Rise to the Rhythm (Author Interview)
www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XVVK79H/ Rise to the Rhythm looks like a great motivational and take-charge kind of book. What type of readers did you write the book for? I wrote this book hoping it would reach and touch the lives of those who may feel as though they’re stuck in the rhythm of a life that’s going nowhere. Yet, they’re still hanging on to a glimmer of hope. And if this is you know that your, “Hope Has Arrived!” How long did it take you to write Rise to the Rhythm? It took me four and a half years to write this book. It truly has been a labor of love and frustration. Here’s what I mean. Labor of Love: I was, not dying but, living to do a book about how important it is for you to find your life’s rhythm and get connected to living it on the beat. Because you’ll find it to be the glue, you need to reassemble the broken and scattered pieces associated with the disconnect of living a stagnant life in which will get you nowhere. Here’s the thing: This book isn’t necessarily about dance in which one might perceive from the title. It’s about achievement through mental movement and “life in action” choreography designed by me for your mind, body, and soul. Frustration: It was difficult to come up with solutions for problems we all deal with such as how to handle rejection, finding the motivation to get up & groove, procrastination, and overcoming your fears. My goal was to put a different spin or twist on these common setbacks and or challenges, so they wouldn’t bore or seem to be so cookie-cutter to the reader. What inspired you when writing Rise to the Rhythm? I wrote Rise because I desired to do something different, bold, and a bit daring. Why did you decide to become a writer? I speak about this in the book. Here’s a sneak peek. Rise to The Rhythm-Groove to Improve Get Back on Beat Thinking about his story gave me a lift, despite the minor setback. Especially when I thought I had such a good flow going. Either way, it was time to rise to the rhythm and get back on the beat. Here’s why. What people may not know is that I’d always wanted to be a writer, and I developed interest during the early stages of my career. I’d written materials for the stage, for print, radio commercials, television spots, and other media outlets. However, it was nothing as serious as writing a book. What influenced my decision the most was blogging. I was introduced to it in 2009 by a female friend, and an amazing make -up artist whom I’d worked with frequently. Strangely, in the beginning, when she mentioned “blogging,” I did not understand what she was talking about. Until she explained further. She said it was the same as writing a newspaper article, but this time I’d become the journalist. I could write about any topic I want, yet it has to come from my perspective and or personal experiences. Sh... Readmore
Death Is Never Pretty! (Author Interview)
www.amazon.com/dp/1717815960/ ‘Death is Never Pretty!’ looks like a great 2nd book in your Ted Troutman Adventure Series. How many books do you have planned? Thanks, ‘Death Is Never Pretty!’ is the second of four planned books in the Rick O’Neil - Ted Troutman Action - Adventure Series. These books are about two men, Rick, and Ted. Ted is the sheriff in Carroll County, New Hampshire and Rick is his part-time deputy. The men met in the military years ago and formed a strong bond of friendship. The third book ‘Night Whisperers!’ was released on Amazon September 2019. I am also working on a western about an aging Texas Ranger. How did you come up with the story in ‘Death is Never Pretty!’? I am always looking for ideas for stories, and when I read about Human Trafficking, especially the abduction of children, I thought it would make a great story. New Hampshire shares a border with Canada and the idea of smuggling abducted children across the border just seemed like a natural. What will readers get out of your book? I hope that readers will enjoy the book, and become aware of the great tragedy that is Human Trafficking. What inspired you when writing ‘Death is Never Pretty!’? I was inspired after learning more about Human Trafficking and in particular about the abduction and selling of Inuit Children. The Inuit are a Native American Tribe living in Canada. The children, unfortunately, are in demand as sex slaves and laborers. Learning about this inspired me to add their plight to my storyline. I am a Vietnam Veteran and I contribute a portion of the profits from my book to various veteran charities, so the more books I write the more I can donate. When did you decide to become a writer? I always wanted to write, but it wasn’t until I retired in 2012 that I finally wrote my first book ‘Da Nang Damned!’ This was the first book in the Rick O’Neil - Ted Troutman Series and deals with their experience in Vietnam and a secret that they kept hidden for forty years. A friend’s suicide forces them to reveal the secret, exposing a rich and powerful crime boss. When writing ‘Death is Never Pretty!’ did anything stand out as particularly challenging? Well, writing is always challenging. I think the biggest challenge is creating likable, interesting characters, characters that readers will enjoy getting to know. In addition, I try to weave two or three sub-stories into the book and make it appear to be seamless and a natural part of the story. What do you like to do when not writing? Being retired allows me the time to pursue things that interest me. One of my hobbies is woodcarving and for the last seven years, I have been a volunteer at a local senior center teaching woodcarving. I also have been researching my family’s history and have found many fascinating things about my ance... Readmore
Silent Strike (Author Interview)
www.amazon.com/dp/B07PKCBBHV/ Silent Strike looks like a great suspense thriller. How many books are set to be in the series? The series could have dozens of books. Troy Stoker, MD and the other characters have unlimited potential for stories and adventures. How did you come up with the story in Silent Strike? We wanted to write a second story after we had success with our first book, American Jackal. We wanted to take our character, Troy Stoker, into a world where he took on a higher challenge. Of course, our lead author is a doctor, so you know we’re going to come up with medical intrigue. And while Silent Strike is fiction, we want to tap into the realities that confront our great nation. What will readers get out of your book? We all read because we want a story to give us an adventure and rouse our intellect. Our book will take readers into the mind of a gritty, hard-hitting psychiatrist as he goes from Mexico to Chicago and beyond to confront the schemes of evil men. The plot weaves in the medical and biological worlds with international tensions and conflicts. What inspired you when writing Silent Strike? The desire to write a great story always inspires us. We’re motivated by the aspiration of putting that story into the hands of people who want to read their way into an adventure. Then we want to make readers ask themselves, “Could this really happen?” When did you decide to become a writer? We teamed up as a writing duo in 2013. Dr. Bandettini had some life experiences that we exaggerated into huge tall tales to become our first thriller novel, American Jackal. When writing Silent Strike did anything stand out as particularly challenging? We have immense respect for Iranian people living in Iran, here in America, and in other parts of the world. It is always challenging to celebrate the people when you are pointing out the aggressions and intentions of their government. What do you like to do when not writing? We have day jobs. Dr. Bandettini works as a psychiatrist in South Dakota and Matt works in community relations at a hospital in Arizona. Even with our jobs and writing careers, we still find time to do some cycling and spend rejuvenation time outdoors. Where can readers find out more about your work?
